Three Courses, One Progression
From a first look at applied machine learning to a yearlong study arc with mentor support — each step is designed to follow naturally from the one before it.
Back to HomeHow We Teach
The Methodology Behind Every Course
Each course is structured around a repeating weekly unit: a recorded lecture that covers the conceptual ground, a live walkthrough that applies that concept to a specific task, and a Jupyter notebook that the participant runs and submits. That loop — hear, watch, do — is the core of how the material is absorbed.
The notebooks are written to be completed in a single evening. They are not comprehensive exercises covering every edge case; they are focused tasks that demonstrate the week's central idea. Participants who want to go further have recommended readings, but the notebook is the completion criterion.
Cohort sessions are scheduled in the evening (8:00 pm – 9:30 pm KL time) on a weeknight. Recordings are made available within 24 hours for participants who cannot attend live. Missing a session is recoverable — the course is designed with the assumption that life happens.
Recorded Lecture
Available at the start of each week. Covers the conceptual background for the week's topic at a pace suited for watching during a commute or a lunch break.
Live Walkthrough
A ninety-minute session with the instructor demonstrating the notebook tasks, answering questions, and working through common errors in real time.
Practice Notebook
Participants run the week's Jupyter notebook, fill in the required sections, and submit it. Completion of all notebooks earns the course completion record.
Applied Project
At the end of each course, participants complete a small applied project using the tools and methods covered. This is the participant's own work, not a template exercise.
Course 01
Applied Machine Learning Foundations
An eight-week applied course covering the practical foundations of machine learning. Each week combines a recorded lecture, a live walkthrough session, and a small practice notebook in Python with scikit-learn. Topics include data preparation, classical model families, evaluation, and a small applied project at the end. Suitable for working adults with a basic Python background and some comfort with secondary-school mathematics. A course completion record is provided to participants who submit the practice notebooks.
- Data cleaning and preparation with pandas
- Linear models, decision trees, and basic ensembles
- Evaluation metrics and cross-validation
- Small applied project using a dataset of your choice
- Completion record on notebook submission
Course 02
Intermediate Applied AI Track
A ten-week intermediate track for learners building practical applied AI skills. Topics include modern modeling approaches, evaluation practices, and applied case studies drawn from publicly available work. The track combines weekly cohort sessions with self-paced practice and a small project at the end. Participants are expected to have completed a foundations course or have equivalent self-study. Outcomes depend on the participant's own work.
- Gradient boosting and modern ensemble methods
- Applied case studies from Malaysian and regional contexts
- Feature engineering and pipeline construction
- Responsible evaluation practices
- Applied project with participant-selected dataset
Subscription 03
Yearlong AI Practitioner Subscription
A twelve-month subscription combining paired courses, monthly cohort sessions, and a final project at the end of the year. Each participant is paired with a senior mentor for ongoing study support. The subscription is suited for working professionals who want a steady rhythm of study across a year. The subscription is educational; the final project is the participant's own work.
- Both Foundations and Intermediate courses included
- Monthly cohort sessions throughout the year
- Senior mentor pairing for notebook review and project guidance
- Year-end final project — entirely participant's own design
- Completion records for both courses plus the final project

Course Standards
Applied Across Every Course
Pre-Cohort Notebook Testing
Every notebook is run end-to-end before the cohort starts. If a cell breaks, it gets fixed before it goes out.
Data Privacy
Participant records are used only for running and administering the course. The Privacy Policy explains the full data handling in plain language.
Content Currency
Notebooks and reading lists are reviewed before each cohort cycle. Where library updates affect code, the material is updated.
Honest Completion Records
Records state what was studied and submitted. No inflated language, no implied accreditation.
Responsive Support
Enquiries sent during a cohort run receive a reply within one working day from the instructing team, not a bot or a help-desk queue.
Curated Reading Lists
Each topic comes with a short list of recommended readings — chosen for clarity, not volume. You are not expected to read everything before the session.
