Why Synapsework
Courses Built Around the Way Working Adults Actually Study
Not repurposed university lectures. Not a hundred video hours. A deliberate structure, a manageable weekly scope, and a team that has done this long enough to know where things go wrong.

Six Reasons People Choose Synapsework
Evening Sessions
Live walkthroughs are scheduled after office hours so that attending does not require a half-day off work.
Runnable Notebooks
Every week ships a Jupyter notebook that you actually execute. The feedback is immediate — you see what the model does with your code.
Capped Cohort Size
Groups are deliberately kept small. Questions in live sessions get addressed, not queued for a forum post that gets a reply three days later.
Priced for Malaysia
RM 470 for Foundations. Not a dollar-denominated price converted at a bad rate — fees are set with the local professional market in mind.
A Clear Progression Path
Foundations leads naturally to the Intermediate track, and the Yearlong Subscription wraps both into a structured twelve-month study arc.
Honest Completion Records
Records describe what was studied and submitted — no inflated credential language, no implied accreditation that does not exist.
Expertise
Instructors Who Work in the Field
The team behind the courses has spent years doing applied data and ML work in commercial settings — not writing about it, doing it. That difference shows in which topics get depth and which get treated as background. You do not get a lecture on transformer architectures in a Foundations course, because it would not help you.
- Course Director with nine years in analytics roles
- Instructors who have run production ML pipelines
- Curriculum updated before each cohort cycle

Tools Used in Every Course
- Python 3.10+ — the environment every notebook runs on
- scikit-learn — model building and evaluation throughout Foundations
- pandas / numpy — data preparation and manipulation
- Jupyter — all practice work delivered as runnable notebooks
Technology
Modern Stack, Standard Setup
The tools are the same ones used in real ML workflows. No proprietary platform, no vendor lock-in, no subscriptions required outside the course itself. You can set up the environment on a standard laptop and take the notebooks with you after the course ends.
Setup instructions are provided at enrolment. Participants who have difficulty with the environment can contact the team before the first session and get it sorted.
Support
Questions Get Real Answers
Live walkthroughs are the primary support mechanism — they are where ambiguities in the notebooks get resolved in real time. Outside of sessions, enquiries via email receive a response within one working day during the course run.
Participants in the Yearlong Subscription have an additional layer: a named senior mentor who reviews notebooks and discusses project direction throughout the year. This is not an automated system — it is a person who knows your work.
What Support Looks Like
- Weekly live walkthrough sessions (evenings, KL time)
- Email responses within one working day during cohort
- Named mentor (Yearlong Subscription participants)
- In-person meetings available at KL office by arrangement
How We Compare
Synapsework vs Typical Online ML Courses
A factual look at how the approach here differs from what most online learning platforms offer in this area.
Typical Online ML Courses
- Self-paced with no cohort — easy to start, easy to abandon
- Hundreds of video hours without a clear weekly scope
- Large forums where questions disappear into noise
- USD pricing that adds up at the exchange rate
- Certificates that imply accreditation they do not have
- Generic content not adjusted for local professional context
Synapsework
- Cohort-based with regular live sessions — shared momentum
- Four to six hours per week — scoped for a working schedule
- Capped cohorts where live questions get direct answers
- Ringgit pricing set for the Malaysian professional market
- Completion records that describe what was done, nothing more
- KL-based team, case studies relevant to Malaysian sectors
Distinctive Features
Things You Will Not Find Elsewhere
Notebooks You Keep
All practice notebooks are yours permanently. After the course ends, you have a full set of runnable examples covering every topic — a working reference, not just memory.
Local Case Studies
The applied case studies in the Intermediate track draw on publicly available data from Malaysian and regional contexts — logistics, finance, and retail scenarios that feel familiar rather than abstract.
Cohort Flexibility
If a work commitment forces you to miss a session, the recording is available and you can catch up. Falling behind by a week is recoverable — we have planned for it in the pacing.
Direct Team Access
The person running your live session is the same person who wrote the notebook and is the right person to ask about it. There is no layer of teaching assistants between participants and the instructors.
